Snow and Fireworks

fact: once i wrote a story based on hank.  i sent it to a magazine and it won editors choice.  except i had to change hank’s name to carl.  then i made him big bird’s failure little brother, and threw in a bunch of subtle twy references.  he lived in new york, met a pigeon, hated life, worked advertising for a diner in melrose/part time as an obscure band mascot, and ran away to Philadelphia.

it’s hands down my favorite of all the short stories i’ve ever written. 

this is why these guys are my favorite band.
